Caddx, in partnership with Walksnail, just announced the second generation of the Avatar HD digital FPV system. The Avatar HD V2 VTX now features onboard recording just like the DJI O3 Air Unit, and it has 8 and 32GB inbuilt memory options. The kit is available with two types of FPV cameras: the Avatar V2 camera and the Caddx Polar Pro camera.
The upgraded Avatar V2 VTX module measures 33x33x10.5mm, and it has 25.5×25.5mm and 20x20mm mounting patterns. It weighs just 17.6 grams and can be used on small FPV drones. The system is compatible with the most popular flight controller firmware, including Betaflight, Inav, KISS, Fettec, and ArduPilot. The modules can be powered from 6V to 25.2V (2S-6S battery compatible) and can record 1080p260fps or 720p@100fps/60fps videos.
The Avatar HD Pro V2 kit comes in a combo with Caddx Polar Pro camera, which has excellent low-light performance and is intended for night flights. The FPV camera features a 1/1.8″ Sony Starvis sensor with 0.0001Lux min. Illumination.
