Both FiMI Palm and Snoppa Vmate gimbals want to be an affordable option for the Osmo Pocket. These two OP alternatives are about $100 cheaper than their DJI rival.
If you look at the image above, you can see that these pocket gimbals share similar design and form factor. While the FiMI Palm measures 127 x 31 x 23 mm and weighs 118 grams, the Snoppa Vmate has 122 x 37.6 × 32.3 mm and 128g. Both gadgets feature a 1.22″ color live-view touchscreen display.
While both gimbals come with a 1/2.3″ CMOS image sensor, the F. Palm has 47° wider field of view. In my opinion, the specs could make the winning difference between these two pocket gimbals, which is the maximum frame rate at 4K resolution. Just like the Osmo Pocket, the Vmate also features 60fps, while the Fimi Palm only has 30fps.

Bottom line
I hope I clarified what’s similar and what’s different between FiMI Palm and Vmate Snoppa. I contacted both manufacturers for a more in-depth comparison with sample footage. While Xiaomi FiMI positively accepted my request for a free review sample, Snoppa Technology did not even write back…
I purchased both gimbal, FIMI Palm for my wife, and Snoppa Vmate for me of course :)
One of my friend has a Osmo Pocket, so I had the luck to compare all 3 gimbals. To be honest, I thinking to sell my FM and SV and purchase a OP or wait for the new Osmo Pocket 2.
Short video shot on Snoppa Vmate
fimi palm would be better if actually exists
It exists, I have one
which one you have? Fimi Palm or Snoppa Vmate?
Remember.. Snoppa is the company that produced the flawed M1 gimbal (that broke and keeps breaking) that they soon discontinued and offered early adopters an $80 upgrade to their next generation Atom gimbal…
No joystick or buttons and only touchscreen, means you’re pretty screwed if you’re wearing gloves. I guess this isn’t a gimbal for used with snow sports like skiing or snowboarding
Vmate 4K60fps, 1080p240fps, shut up and take my money
Xiaomi 30fps, sorry but this time you can’t get my money
Vmate all the time! Snoppa knows how important is the 60fps for professional works. Hope to be released soon :)
I like the Vmate, it has better specs!
