FIMI X8 Tele Pro: Dual-SONY Camera System and Vision Obstacle Avoidance

This week FIMI officially reveled their first Dual-Camera drone with an 3D obstacle avoidance system. The X8 Tele Pro follows its predecessors design, an it is even compatible with their batteries.

The FIMI X8 Tele Pro is equipped with Wide-Angle camera ( 1/2-inch 48-megapixel) and a Tele camera (1/2.5-inch 13-megapixel 5x telephoto) installed into a single body on a 3-axis gimbal. The system is capable for up to 30x Hybrid Zoom, HDR video, Low-Light shoots, and 4K@60fps recording. Native 48-megapixel tele-camera features DNG images (uncompressed) enabling effortless capture of more detailed and vivid scenes, delivering a higher-definition and more spectacular aerial photography experience.

FIMI released this new model with two battery options. When the X8 Tele Pro is powered by the 53.7Wh “Standard” battery can stay in the air for about 38 minutes, and when it is used together with the 72Wh “Pro” LI-ION pack has a f light time of up to 47 minutes.

The FIMI X8 Tele Pro has six obstacle avoidance sensors: two-front, two-rear, and two-downward. The OA system allows collisions during autonomous flight modes or pilot errors. Adopting the latest Dual-Band SoLink transmission system, it can has a flight range of up to 10KM. The expansion slot allows the installation of various accessories including 4G GMS communication module and a release-and-drop mechanism.
