The Explorer LR was born from the collaboration between Flywoo and Dave_C creator of the Micro long-range brand. While in the past, long range quadcopters were big (7 inches) and heavy, the Flywoo Explorer LR weights less than 250 grams (including battery) and has a super compact air-frame suitable for 4″ blades. Furthermore, according to the manufacturer, it can achieve easily a cruising speed of 40-50 kph, up to 20 minutes flight time and around 10 km (6 miles) range with TBS Crossfire radio receiver.
Similar to the HGLRC Sector 132, this FPV drone is also available with multiple types of cameras. While the most affordable one comes with RunCam Nano 2, the ‘HD’ edition with DJI FPV goggles compatible Caddx Vista HD system. Both analog versions (RC Nano 2 and Caddx Tarsier 4K) feature same GOKU VTX625 FPV transmitter with up to 450mW VTX power.
Thanks to the on-board GOKU GPS Mini positioning system and self-powered Flywoo Finder buzzer alarm it is very safe for long-distance flights.
Price and availability
Starting with today, all Flywoo Explorer LR versions can be pre-ordered from Banggood. The most affordable version is listed for $149.99 and the digital HD edition with included DJI FPV goggles for $828. Note: estimated processing time is starting with September 9.
