GoPro Hero4 best camera for quadcopters

GoPro Hero4 – the most advanced camera for quadcopters!

This new GoPro camera brings a lot of new features that professional aerial videographers have been begging for.

GoPro Hero4 Black is the flagship of the Hero series. It looks almost identical to the older Hero 3+ Black but it’s what’s inside that meters.

Like the older model, it has also 4K video support but with double video frame rate. Now you can record aerial videos at 30 frames per second with 4K resolution and at 120 frames per second with 1080p resolution. HERO4 Black is the first quadcopter camera that can record ultra high-resolution and high frame rate aerial videos.

The biggest improvements, for who wants to use the GoPro Hero 4 camera on his quadcopter, is the wireless connectivity. Using the GoPro App you can control the camera remotely with your smartphone or tablet. Also, trough this app, you can view the captured aerial photos and videos meanwhile the quadcopter is still on the air.

There are three versions of the latest GoPro camera on the market. The GoPro Hero4 Black edition with 4K/30fps, the cheaper GoPro Hero4 Silver with 4K/15fps and the budget Hero with only 1080p resolution.

GoPro Hero4 specs:

  1. I think full HD (1080P) is fair enough for must of the aerial videos, you don’t need the 4k resolution offered by the new GoPro Hero 4.
