HexH2O Pro v2 professional waterproof drone for commercial use
Usually I accept for review most of the offered quadcopters. This HexH2O Pro v2, being more expensive than my wife’s car, would make me think twice. The predicted price of this marine drone starts from 6000 euro (6449 USD).
Quadh2o is a UK based drone company orientated on waterproof multi-rotors. Their first water resistant drone was the yellow QuadH2O. Now, after 4 years that four-motor drone compared to this HexH2O Pro v2 hexa-copter seems to be just a toy.
Certainly, the HexH2O Pro v2 is a masterpiece of technology. It is build around the professional DJI N3 flight controller (with DJI Go APP support) and uses the high-end DJI Lightbridge 2 HD live-video transmission.
As video rig, the manufacture opted for the DJI X3 camera with 3-axis gimbal and 4K video recording. In my opinion, because the HexH2O Pro v2 is being designed for search and rescue operations, it would be more proper a zoom camera like the DJI Z3. The Z3 camera is capable up to 7x combined zoom (3.5x optical and 2x digital).
Thanks to the fully waterproof design, the HexH2OProv2 hexacopter is suitable to be safely used in the rain or snow also to land on the surface of the water.
