SHENGKAI D97 WIFI quadcopter

Another X5C clone was just listed on many online RC stores, the SHENGKAI D97 with a 2MP Wi-Fi first-person view camera. The design of these two quadcopters is almost identical, but they use a completely different remote controller.

The biggest advantage of the SHENGKAI D97 quadcopter is the 2MP first-person view camera that can be connected to any iOS and Android-based WI-FI mobile device (tablet and smartphone). The angle of the camera’s lens can be manually adjusted for the desired point of view.

Unbelievable but most of the latest feathers like the headless mode and one key return to home are available in this extremely cheap quadcopter too. Some of the images that I found with the SHENGKAI D97 suggest that the Quad can also be controlled over the WI-FI signal with a mobile phone, but I have a doubt about it. Maybe I will get one for review and I will test this feature too.

Important Update!

I just got one of these quadcopters from review. Unfortunately, it has a problem, it doesn’t take off the ground and the transmitter works chaotic.

I opened the transmitter to see what the issue could be. The remote controller’s circuit board is full of bubbles, the copper layer is puffed.

I tried the SHENGKAI D97 quad with remote controllers from my other quadcopters, but I can’t bind with either.

I searched on Google for this issue, and I found that others have this problem too.

I recommend those who still want to order the SHENGKAI D97 ask the seller to test it before they send it.
