When it comes to high-performance energy storage, lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries have become the go-to choice for solar setups, RVs, marine use, and even field charging for FPV drone pilots. The Redondo 24V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery stands out with its long lifespan, Bluetooth monitoring, and lightweight and robust design, making it a versatile solution for those needing reliable power. It can be used in up to 4P2S (stacking two 4-parallel-connected batteries in series) configurations, resulting in a total power of 20.48kWh, allowing a typical 3–4-person household to run for 1–3 days.
One of the standout advantages of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, which helps prevent back pain :), is their superior energy density. A typical lead-acid battery has an energy density of around 30-50Wh/kg, whereas Redodo’s 24V 100Ah LiFePO4 pack delivers over 117Wh/kg. As a result, LiFePO4 batteries are 2-3 times lighter than their lead-acid counterparts.
LiFePO4 batteries offer several advantages over traditional lithium-ion batteries, including improved thermal stability, an extended cycle life, and enhanced safety.
Redodo 24V 100Ah LiFePO4 review
Disclosure: I received this 2.5kWh battery in a product review collaboration with Redodo. Product specs and quality may vary according to the manufacturer’s reliability, so I cannot guarantee that you will get a unit that performs the same as seen in my review.

At a glance
When I unwrapped the package, my wife ironically asked if I had started reviewing tractor batteries because this Redodo looked just like one. It measures 532*207*215 mm (20.95*8.15*8.5 inch) and roughly weighs 22 kg (48.5lb). The ABS case has two rope handles for easy manipulation (two hands or two persons). It has two M8 terminals on the top, black for negative and red for positive. I don’t know if this is common, but I would have liked to have a separate, dedicated connector for charging, even if it was lower power.
The battery uses LiFePO4 prismatic cells with a cycle life of 4,000. The pack has a nominal voltage of 25.6V, a rated capacity of 100Ah, and an internal resistance of ≤40mΩ.
The recommended charging voltage is 28.8V ± 0.4V without exceeding 20A (0.2C).
Two QR codes are on top of the battery: one allows you to download the mobile app, and the other allows you to add the battery to the monitoring app. In factory mode, Bluetooth connectivity is disabled, and you need to start charging the battery to activate it. The Redodo mobile app is available for both Android and iOS devices.
As you can see in the photo below, the Redodo app can monitor individual batteries, or you can configure and manage custom setups (battery systems for applications such as RVs, vans, boats, households, or off-grid cabins). Besides power, current, voltage, and capacity, the app provides health status from the BMS, such as cell balance state, cell conditions, and BMS operation.

How much can it last with one charge?
Using DC-DC converters, you can directly power 12V camping devices or a 24V truck air conditioner/heater. By connecting two in series, you can power 48V RV appliances. You can power most of your household appliances and power tools by connecting to a 220V or 110V inverter (depending on your country). Remember that any power conversion means heat and energy lost. So, if you plan to use a 12V device, you should use 12V batteries. Also, count that DC-AC inverters have an 85-95% efficiency (5-15% loss).
In the table below, you can find some examples of expected runtimes.
Device | Power usage | Usage time |
LED bulb | 15W | 166 hours |
Camping refrigerator | 50W | 50 hours |
TV | 100W | 25 hours |
Cloth dryer | 2000W | 2.5 hours |
Air conditioner | 1100W | 2.3 hours |
Coffee maker | 1500W | 1.7 hours |
Portable oven | 1200W | 2.2 hours |
Personally, I will use this battery to charge my FPV LiPos at the flight field. I use a wide range of packs, from 2S 450mAh (3.42Wh) to 6S 8000mAh (177wh). Most LiPo chargers support a DC input from 10 to 30V, which can be powered directly from this Redodo 24V battery. In addition to the BMS’s over-discharge protection, you can set the input voltage bottom limit in the charger to 20V. The beauty of this setup is that you can transfer energy back into the Redodo from unused, fully charged LiPos when you want to put them in storage mode (3.8V/cell).
The table below provides some examples of how many batteries you can charge from zero to full using the Redodo 24V 100Ah BT as the power source.
Battery | Charge times/pcs |
6S 8000mAh | 14 |
6S 1500mAh | 73 |
4S 1800mAh | 95 |
4S 1300mAh | 133 |
3S 850mAh | 271 |
3S 450mAh | 512 |
2S 850mAh | 532 |
2S 450mAh | 768 |
How can it be charged?
The charging process of LiFePO4 batteries is voltage-sensitive. Maintaining the correct charging levels ensures efficiency and safety, while an incorrect voltage can cause undercharging or overheating, potentially impacting battery lifespan and performance. This Redodo 24V battery features an integrated Battery Management System (BMS) that monitors and manages various parameters such as voltage, current, temperature, and the state of charge of individual cells, ensuring long-lasting service life.
The CC/CV (Constant Current – Constant Voltage) method is the standard approach for charging lithium-ion batteries and is recommended by Redodo for this pack. Initially, the charger operates in CC mode, delivering a steady current while the battery voltage gradually increases. Once the voltage reaches a preset limit, the charging process shifts to CV mode, where the voltage remains constant, and the current gradually decreases until the battery is fully charged.
When I agreed to review this Redodo 24V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery, I planned to use it in tandem with the Bluetti AC200L power station, as it is designed to extend its internal storage capacity. Later, I found out that Bluetti favors its own expansion batteries and offers compatibility only with them.
Depending on how you want to use the battery, it can be charged in the following ways:
- Dedicated LiFePO4 AC/DC charger
- Solar panel and solar charge controller
- Using an inverter with a built-in charger
Important Tips:
Never overcharge or allow the battery to discharge below 20% (if your BMS allows for deeper discharges, avoid going below 10% for optimal life). Charge in a well-ventilated area and avoid charging in extreme temperatures (below 0°C or above 45°C). Using a dedicated smart charger designed explicitly for LiFePO4 cells is crucial. Lastly, and most importantly, ensure that you connect the charger’s positive and negative terminals to the battery’s corresponding terminals.

Is this battery enough to power a weekend of fishing? I have about three 10-watt bulbs, a 25W mini fridge, and, of course, I need to charge 2–3 phones. I’m getting ready to retire and am new to the world of these batteries. Thanks a lot for the help!
