All about the 415B aka Serious Alpha

Bored from the usual design? Here comes the 415B drone, a flying ball. Not too conventional, not very aerodynamic, but pretty cool.

Foldable drones became quickly popular because they are extremely portable. You can take them with you almost everywhere. While the unfolded 415B measures 17.8 x 17.8 x 8.5 cm, when it’s folded into a ball shape it measures only 8.5 x 8.5 x 8.5 cm.

Sirius Alpha (aka 415B) was announced in two variants, BNF and RTF. While BNF (Bind N Fly) features only APP control, RTF (Ready to Fly) comes with a nice physical remote control allowing multiple control modes. Both versions are available in black and white colors.

Equipped with 0.3 Mp WiFi FPV camera, you can record videos as well as capture still photos. Using your smartphone you can display the camera’s real-time feed.

Thanks to the built-in barometric air-pressure sensor, the aircraft is capable to autonomously maintain its flight altitude at the desired level. First-time pilots will certainly appreciate this feature.

415B Sirius Alpha drone features and specs

  • Innovative foldable design;
  • Altitude hold (auto hover);
  • Headless flight mode;
  • Auto return to home;
  • 360 degree flips and rolls;
  • 0.3Mp camera;
  • WiFi real-time image transmission (FPV);
  • About 5 ~ 6 minutes of flight autonomy.

According to the the specs, the 400 mAh battery allows up to 6 minutes play time. The Power switch is located on the top of the aircraft. Being a “soft” button, I recommend to remove the Li-Po when the drone is stored for longer periods of time.

Looking for a nice Christmas gift? This 415B can be a perfect choice. RTF version can be found for only $39.99 with free shipping.
