At first sight, everything is nice around the Eachine EG16 WingGod drone. It has GPS positioning system, optical flow sensor, dual camera system (frontal/belly) and excellent flight time but, after a closer inspection, I found that the frontal camera actually has only 2K video resolution (not 4K as it is advertised) and brushed motors instead of much reliable brush-less ones. Anyway, for its price seems to be a pretty interesting quad which worth to be reviewed here on FirstQuadcopter.
Following the great success of the E58 Emotion drone, the EG16 also features Mavic alike foldable arms. When it is folded, the aircraft measures only 13.5 x 18.5 x 6cm. For night flights, it has one LED light under each motor.
In addition to the 5G WiFi real-time transmission (FPV), the frontal camera features remote angel adjustment. You can freely switch from front view to ground view.
According to the manufacturer’s specs, the 1800mAh battery allows up to 14 minutes airborne time. As charging time is more than 200 minutes, it is worth to invest in couple of spare LIPOs from the beginning. Note: it is highly recommended to let the motors cool down between flights.

Remote controller
As you can see in the image below, the Eachine EG16 (aka Wing God) is packed with a basic remote controller with foldable phone holder. On front panel, besides the usual control sticks, there are only 4 control buttons. From left-to-right you have: Headless Switch, RTH, GEO Calibration and Power button. Camera control buttons are found on top of the RC (left – Video and right – Photo).
While the left shoulder dial-button allows to toggle between flight speed rates, the right one allows to adjust the frontal camera’s tilt angle.

It mentions on the web site that the video is 2K, and that pictures are in 4K. =) Anyway, I have just received one from Banggood, and they don’t mention what sort of app to use for flight . The QR code sends you to the Apple store for a VPN app. Not all that good for actual flight, great for security.
Just placed my pre-order for Eachine EG16. BG says that will first batch will be delivered starting with 19th of June….
