From the beginning, Flywoo was a company dedicated to small-size FPV drones. Last week brought two customized O3 digital FPV systems on the market for those every gram counts in the minus. The Naked O3 Lite reduces the weight (36.8g) of the original DJI O3 Air Unit by 37% (23.2g) and the Naked O3 Ultra by 50% (18.3g).
The Flywoo Naked O3 project removes the unnecessary, mostly metal parts from both camera and VTX. Unfortunately, this has the side effect that the VTX gets very hot much faster. By comparison, the original O3 AU can be used 10+min, the O3 Lite 3.30min, and the O3 Ultra only 2.20min. These times can be even lower if outdoor temperatures reach 35°C or more.
The main difference between the O3 Lite and O3 Ultra is that the Ultra comes without the micro SD slot, so you can record only in the built-in 20GB storage. Flywoo includes with their customized O3 Air Units mini dipole antennas instead the original much heavier 2in1 antenna.
