If you’re looking for a lightweight camera for FPV drones, UAVs, RC vehicles, or any application where you want a more compact camera, the RunCam 6 is the camera to choose. Weighting just 45 grams, it is ideal for 2-3.5″ drones that are not powerful enough to carry a full-size GoPro action camera.
While the RunCam HD (gen1), RunCam 2 4K, and this new RunCam 6 had a matchbox form factor, the RunCam 3, 3S, and RunCam 5 had a GoPro Session-like cubic form factor. The RC6 measures 66.5*40*20mm and has a dedicated mount adapter supporting a GoPro or Tripod mount.
The most notable thing about the RunCam SIX is the remote control feature. The serial and PWM ports allow your radio controller to trigger start/stop video recording. It can also be connected to the RunCam App on Android devices, where settings can be adjusted in detail.
A 128×64 OLED screen and two control buttons (Power and Record) are on the front panel. The 155° FOV lens supports a detachable protective cover and replaceable ND filter. The RunCam 6 is powered by an 850mAh 4.35V battery that provides about sixty minutes of recording time when 4K@30fps is selected or 135 minutes at 1080@30fps.
The RunCam features electronic image stabilization (EIS) and Gyroflow software stabilization. Through the HDMI-out port, it can be connected directly to a display or HD digital video transmission system.
RunCam 6: Pricing, availability, and options
The RunCam 6 is available in four package options, with a starting price of $99 for the basic kit (only camera). The “deluxe” kit includes a 128MB micro SD card and three neutral density filters (ND8, ND16, and ND32) and it is priced at $124.99. All package options include a USB charging cable, camera mount, and FC control cable.
Hello from France,
I have question does this mean that I can trigger video recording without a flight controller, only with the video transmitter and the radio control?
Thank you very much for your answer.
I would buy this RC 6 with 4k@60fps
maybe in 2025 :))
